The TCP-100 measures over a range of -40°C to +100°C. Its K-type thermocouple sensor is fitted with a durable Ni-Cr cable. A maximum jaw opening of 35 mm grips pipes and surfaces of varying diameter firmly, so the probe does not slip during measurement and results repeat.
The clamp design removes the need for extra tape, clips or screws to fix the sensor to a surface. On circular pipework in particular this speeds up measurement, and the clamp's spring system maintains contact pressure even during long measurements.
Uniform heat transfer across the contact area keeps deviation to a minimum, and an accuracy of ±1°C is maintained on every measurement. The long Ni-Cr cable gives the operator a wide working area while keeping the connection point accessible.
Nickel-chromium (Ni-Cr) cable resists high temperature and mechanical wear. The material also has a low resistance coefficient, which means a more stable signal from the sensor to the instrument. In environments with vibration or heat, thermocouples with Ni-Cr cable last longer.
