In gas‑powered bird cannons, the gas tank refers to the LPG or propane cylinder that supplies the fuel used to generate the loud popping/thunder sound that scares birds and wildlife. These cannons do not usually include the gas cylinder in the base kit, so the tank itself is considered a consumable or replaceable spare part rather than part of the main device.
